About Us
Heather Stephenson
After nearly a decade of leadership in the fields of marketing communications and technology, Heather incorporated her passion for business and natural living by co-founding The Ideal Network. Heather brings to The Ideal Network her integrated marketing and technology expertise, having served as an early Vice President of Sales in both the US and Europe at L90, Inc - an international online advertising sales network that went public in 1999. In addition to Heather's management and role in The Ideal Bite, Heather is the founder of UrbanSage - a NY-based rooftop garden design/build firm. Heather has an MA in Literature and a BA in Government from Georgetown University. When not staring at her computer screen or cleaning the dirt from under her fingernails, Heather can be found on her yoga mat in her Brooklyn rooftop garden, contemplating a world of healthy consumers, happy employees and organic fine wines.
Jennifer Boulden
Over the past 10 years, Jennifer has led business strategy and marketing programs for a range of corporate and nonprofit organizations including IBM, Hearst, World Resource Institute, and Rocky Mountain Institute. Weaving together her experience as head of marketing for e-commerce and technology companies, and her deep understanding of the conscientious consumer market, Jennifer brings a dedicated yet practical focus to The Ideal Bite. Jennifer graduated from William & Mary with a degree in Economics, and George Washington University with an MBA in Environmental Policy & Management. Jennifer currently serves as the president of the Anavo Group, a sustainable business consulting firm. A passionate equestrian woman, Jennifer also adores good wine and fine food - however, she can't cook at all.

Company History
One spring night in the West Village, in a small restaurant called Le Pescadou, there were two little late night parties going on - one at the bar in the front, and one in the restaurant in the back. Heather, at the bar (of course), was with her crew which strategically included the bartender. Jen, in the back, was being wined and dined by a UN official who shall remain nameless (unless large sums of money are in the picture). The night progressed, and soon these crews were the only ones left in Le Pescadou.
By about midnight, Heather and the front crew were fairly amazed that the back crew was not on the floor by now, for they had drunk the place dry of Jameson's. Jen, not having stood up for hours, thereby not realizing her slight (yes, only slight Mom!) intoxication, was then lured to her feet by the sweet smell of tobacco burning. Although she had kicked that habit a year earlier, the Jameson's whispered that just one would be okay. Thus, Jen and UN made it up to the front, where they were welcomed with open arms and ever more drinks by Heather's crew. Heather and Jen quickly became locked in dialogue, sharing each of their stories and personal missions - and were gobsmacked with all the similarities they discovered. Although they do like men, they were quite intrigued by each other, exchanged numbers, and have since made frequent visits to each other's place of residence (NY for Heather, and all over for Jen).
Early in 2005, whilst working for some consulting clients to pay the bills while they co-authored a book on conscious consumerism, they IM'ed all day until the idea to write, create, inspire, and make a difference while doing something the loved came to light.
And the rest is history in the making. Welcome to The Ideal Bite.
